INGREDIENTS
Hot Cocoa:
2 Cups Whole Milk
1 Quart Half and Half
1 14 oz can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
3/4 cup of Dark Chocolate Cacao
1-2 TBSPS Bourbon Vanilla
1 10 oz bag of Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Bourbon Whipped Cream:
2 Cups of Heavy Whipping Cream
3/4 cup of Powdered Sugar
1 TBSP of Bourbon Vanilla
DIRECTIONS
Cocoa Instructions:
In a large pot, combine 2 cups of Whole Milk, 1 Quart of Half & Half, 1 14 oz can of Sweetened Condensed Milk and 3/4 cup of Dark Chocolate Cocoa.
Place your pot on the stove over medium-low heat and gently whisk to combine ingredients. Let it heat up until it starts to simmer for about 15 minutes. Then remove from heat.
Once removed, add a big splash of Vanilla — 1-2 TBSPS and your 10 oz bag of mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Mix well until the chocolate chips are completed melted.
Serve as is or with my homemade Whipped Cream!
Whipped Cream Instructions:
In a slightly chilled mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream, 3/4 cup of Powdered Sugar and 1 TBSP of Bourbon Vanilla and mix on medium-high speed until it fluffy and perfectly stiff.
TIPS:
Garnish with a toasted Marshmallow.
Want to make it boozy? Add a splash of Amaretto, Frangelico or Whiskey to each individual cup and stir it into your cocoa.
Want to bring it to a party? Put it on low in a crockpot!
Do you like peppermint? Throw a peppermint in there, peppermint extract or drop the extract into your whipped cream for various preferences!
Makes a DELISH Mocha the next morning if you steam the hot cocoa like milk and add a few shots of espresso.
Buon Appetito!
